I am undertaking training to be a qualified and registered Supervisor. In addition, I have line management and clinical experience. During 2020 I will be taking on supervisees for clinical, professional and trainee supervision.
Clinical Supervision
This is ideally for those already working in the helping professions, this might include therapists, counsellors, nurses, social workers, care workers and other health professionals.
In the clinical context supervision provides an opportunity for staff to reflect on and review their practice as well as discuss individual cases in depth. It allows us to change or modify our practice and identify training and continuing development needs.
Professional Supervision
Supervision is important for anyone working with others. This might include:
- Therapists
- Managers
- Personal Trainers
- Coaches
- Yoga Teachers
- Helping Roles that suffer burnout
Supervision is an important relationship in this context, providing an opportunity to review professional standards, maintain professional boundaries, prevent burnout or collusion and identify professional needs and updates.
Supervision for Trainee Psychotherapists
Anyone working towards qualification and accreditation as a counsellor or psychotherapist will need supervision. A supervisor will support you through your first client sessions, building your private practice and see you through the accreditation process. As a supervisor I will be able to fulfil the education, support and managerial roles you require as a trainee.
