Course overview
This module will cover theory and practice of the western and yogic aspects of yoga and anxiety and deep relaxation combining NLP psychotherapy with yoga. This course is intended to help people relieve the symptoms of anxiety and learn techniques of restorative yoga to relax on a deep level.
Objectives of the Course
• Increased knowledge of western and yogic perspective for anxiety, worry and tension, and deep relaxation
• Use Coherent breathing to increase heart rate variability (HRV) and ‘vagal tone’ bringing the autonomic nervous system back into balance. Practice mindfulness practices to develop ability to witness thoughts and feelings and connect to a deeper felt sense of themselves
• Practice simple, powerful yoga postures to balance the nervous system, ground and centre the body and mind, release mental and physical tension and improve self confidence
• Learn important psychological techniques drawn from CBT,REBT and NLP to teach them about the psychotherapeutic model for change
