Stress to Resilience

FROM STRESS TO RESILIENCE: MENTAL TOUGHNESS DEVELOPMENT

A 2 day course to help you deal effectively with pressures and challenges and perform to the best of your abilities

Why Should You Consider This Programme?

Employees at all levels have to work to meet increasingly demanding targets, handling several pressures at one time, while responding to interruptions and changes in expectation. Mental Toughness Development will enable people to develop strategies to help them perform under pressure whilst maximising their own health and wellbeing.

As well as providing benefits at the individual level, this leading edge approach can make a noticeable impact on the performance of the organisation as a whole.

Who is the Programme For?

This is a two day programme for those who want to develop their own mental toughness or develop skills to develop others. It is ideal for people who want to improve their performance where there has been major change and where dealing with stress, pressure and challenge is vital to the role. The understanding gained from this course will help people develop their levels of psychological resilience and mental toughness so they achieve more success in life and improve their overall health and wellbeing. It will also help leaders and to inspire and lead by example, building organisation-wide resilient behaviours.

How does the programme work?

Delivery of learning is flexible and ensures you practise all the skills covered on the course and reinforces behavioural change. We use MTQ48, the only psychometric tool for measuring mental toughness. MTQ48 provides a reliable assessment of an individual's ability to withstand pressure in a range of environments. As part of the course all delegates will be given a full assessment of their current levels of mental toughness before and after the course.

Peer learning is facilitated through a mixture of group activities and discussion, guided reflections, co-coaching work, feedback triads and peer-evaluated skills practice. Case studies, diagnoonistic tools (biofeedback), games, quizzes, questionnaires and demonstrations are used throughout to embed effective learning and bring new skills into apparent behaviour.

The programme has been developed as a 2 day core programme. This can be adapted to suit clients’ needs. The course includes a pre-course coaching session and two additional post-course coaching sessions for each delegate.
